the calm

I don’t have much to say today other than I can feel the prospect of this job slipping away. Otherwise, today has been pretty normal. Oliver cancelled on me tonight due to an ear infection which, in case you were wondering, was explained in graphic detail and supplemented with live photos of bodily outputs that looked like blobs of dried blood and ear wax. I feel bad for him.

Despite today’s events (or lack thereof), I am partly happy that today was relatively stress-free— time to myself is not something I take for granted. But, the other part of me feels as though everything is simply a waiting game right now and though I consider myself a relatively patient person, I would still like to see more movement.
